Review of Mother's Day (2016) by Angie W — 03 Jan 2019
I love Julia Roberts, and adore Kate Hudson but honestly I cant believe they put their names on this.
The plot was terrible. Julia Roberts has a daughter but gave her up, then they find each other so she is fine and throws her a wedding.
Kate Hudson has racist parents who she lied to about bring married to an Indian. They use that term very loosely.
Jennifer Aniston is in it and she is bitter that her ex got married. Jason S is in it and his wife died.
Its all too much story and as a sitcom it might have worked but I did not laugh once.
There is a Pretty Woman reference in it about a salad fork with with other actor from it. Gary Marshall likes to cast the same people which is confusing.
