I saw a sneak preview & enjoyed the q&a w/ special guest Rodrigo Garcia, the writer & director. He is a warm, down to earth & exeptionally thoughtful man, as in he thinks intensely about important issues.
After working on the script for 10 years, he had challenges getting the actors he wanted for the roles & ultimately succeeded. He wanted to keep this an indy film, so getting financial backing was even more challenging.
The interesting info he shared re making the film, behind the scenes, & the variety of questions he answered added so much to the already wonderful experience of watching the film. Rodrigo's focus is on human behavior & how people respond to life situations & often evolve in unexpected ways.
The intertwining stories are interesting & the performances of the actors are superb.
