Like this rather interesting and uplifting piece on "damaged" people trying to heal themselves. Although Rodrigo Garcia uses somewhat contrived and cliched devices to tell this "womens' story", it is executed with a sensitive and taseful balance that never quite crosses the line of cheap melodrama.
Confident and commendable performances from Annette Bening and Naomi Watts.
