Review of Mother and Child (2009) by Heather M — 16 Jan 2011
This movie is rather ridiculous. You have a mother that gives up her child for adoption and then spends her entire adult life writing a psychotic journal that contains her "conversations" with her lost daughter.
Meanwhile that daughter is well into her 30s and pregnant with her boss's baby. She runs away from her life to have the baby and dies giving birth. Both women decided to try to find each other, but just a short year to late (confusion with the timeline ensues).
Enter the third woman desperate to be a mother and has the baby she is supposed to adopt taken away from her at the last minute. Good thing about that dead daughter that was abandoned as an infant that just died leaving a baby without a parent to claim them.
This whole plot seems a little too coincidental and cliche.
