Review of Mother and Child (2009) by Gregory K — 27 Mar 2011
I had mixed feelings. On the one hand there were amazing moments of raw emotion and gripping storytelling. On the other hand things were at times oversimplified and over the top. Naomi Watts' character was one of the most despicable female characters to ever be on screen and her redemption was unearned.
Annette Bening's character was difficult but her growth was real.
