Review of mother! (2017) by Goldyray Y — 16 Jan 2018
I heard some negative things about this movie so when I watched it thinking I was just going to go to bed, but instead I found myself stuck to the screen and fascinated as everything fell apart. I heard it had a lot of religious overtones and although it did have some, they weren't so in your face that if that stuff annoys you it wasn't so annoying in this and the ultimate story can be interpreted however you wish.
It was a nice return after Noah, I have only made it half way through that movie and tried several times. Thing one gripped me the entire time when I wasn't even going to give it much of a chance.
If you're more into normal stories ground in reality, this isn't for you. I think that might be why it's so divided? I don't know, but I believe it deserves a much higher score. (Not 100 or even 90, but I'd give it a good 88 or 89 percent myself).
