Review of mother! (2017) by Phil K — 19 Dec 2017
An amazing maddening film that is clearly not for the average audience goer. Not sure why they marketed it as a "horror film" and gave it a wide release. Its more art house than the Conjuring series which probably annoyed the people buying tickets.
The cast is great and the direction is amazing. You can actually feel the frustration of the Jennifer lawrence character as her life spins out of control. The symbolism by the end is a bit on the nose but if you hate that sorta thing dont worry it doesn't come up that often during the films run time.
