This movie bummed me out because I am a giant fan of everyone involved. Michelle Pfeiffer stole the show for me, but unfortunately that was the only highlight for the film (and she really was only in 1/2 of it). This movie keep going in directions I understood but then would randomly change course out of nowhere, with no explanation. The last 45 minutes of the film was just literal audience torture.
I didn't even care about the symbolism anymore by the end. As we were leaving the theater it seemed like the audience was just collectively annoyed.
