Mother! Another fantastic Darren Aronofsky film. This movie will piss people off, because they don't understand it. This is a movie that needs to be watched numerous times. Upon first viewing the was pretty vague. Main intentions didn't seem clear, story was flat, characters were bland. But upon second viewing, I loved it. This movie is symbolic, metaphorical, relentless rollercoaster ride, that will take the viewer completely off. This film is basically the re-telling of the bible. Mother! (Jennifer Lawrence) is Mother nature and Him (Javier Bardem) is God, and the house is earth. Woman and Man (Ed Harris and Michelle Pfeiffer) Are the first two humans ever on earth. Older Brother (Domhnall Gleeson) and Younger Brother (Brian Gleeson) Are Cain and Abel, I think. And if you know Cain and Abel. Cain kills Abel. The movie has great performances, the standouts were Javier Bardem and Jennifer Lawrence who give Oscar worthy performances. The first act was AWFUL. The pacing was dreaded, it didn't make any sense. But the third and second act were AMAZING. So intense and weird. But the third act mesmerized me, blew me away. Anyway, Mother! was an awesome movie. Great story, great performances, awesome direction from Darren Aronofsky, amazing third and second, especially the third act. The first act was bad and the pacing felt off, but other than that it was amazing.

94%.
