Lawrence played the role of the character who makes the most unwise decisions in the face of the most obvious solution. I couldn't help thinking of her character's stupidity throughout the entire movie.
One can only assume the character's life prior to the one lived in the film was a highly dysfunctional one which led her to a severely codependent relationship within the film. "Poor stupid woman with psycopathological fear of abandonment" is all I could think.
The experience felt like one of those horrible prolonged dreams where the solution simply will not come. If you can enjoy watching a movie where you don't mind obsessively repeating to one of the main characters "How can you be so stupid?!" then enjoy.
