Mother! is a surreal and intense art house film, the advertising will bring a lot of people to see a movie that they aren't expecting. The movie (mostly) makes complete sense once you understand the metaphors the movie is showing, but it will go over many people's head.
People will either love or hate this movie, and I don't expect many people in the middle ground with it. The acting is great, although all the character's reactions feel weird because it is a surreal movie.
After reading articles to understand the movie more I'd love to watch Mother! again.
