An adult movie probably based on the Giving Tree children's book. You will only like it if you view it as an allegory. It's not a horror movie. It's how we take and take from each other and the earth, wanting our own needs satisfied, unaware that we kill each other emotionally and physically (the Earth). I especially liked when JL asks her husband, "Aren't I enough?
Read The Giving Tree kids book and the movie will make sense.
