What a great opening shot that will stay in your head and it doesn't even seem like Lawrence. This film has such a deeper sense from the start so you know there will be multiple interpretations coming out.

It carries a natural tone and starts as a basic straight forward Home Invasion film. There are some tones that the house may be alive and it has a very 1970s feel like: Rosemary's Baby, Don't Look Back or Jacobs Ladder at times.

There are great attention to sounds here to pull you into the mother earth vibe: chimes-steps-the pilot coming on-cabinets opening-door knobs-washier-etc. There is alot going on in this movie once you get the Adam & Eve thing and Adams rib scene in the bathroom.

Angles are truly a character as well. There is a heavy contrast from peace & calm nature to turmoil & chaos. It gets a bit David Cronenberg with the blood & the floorboards scenes. Then the God-Mother Earth- and Mankind elements start to flow as it pulls from reality.

Interesting to see the ritual of worship are created and carried out in the end violence and home destruction scene along with the savior's body elements as well. You can see the humor in the painting of the house as trying to save the world as they destroy it, that is so us.

The comparisons to humans destroying the earth are heavy and the circle of life is strong here and well crafter by Arnoksky. Sorry he took so much heat for this brilliantly deep film, as it is not for the masses.
