Review of Mother (2016) by Diane V — 20 Apr 2018
This is a masterful film which will sadly be disliked by a lot of people. It's not for the faint of heart, and it's not for the literal-minded who dislike interpreting a movie's deeper meanings.
The film's last act is frenetic but powerful, leaving you reeling from its violence yet engaged in a higher plane of thinking. The ending is a satisfying payoff for staying with the movie for two hours.
