Watched the Zeta-Jones/Eckhart english remake before this, and this is far more credible & touching. Though the pacing is deliberately slow at times, gems like Martha's compassion for lobsters, the credits-rolling happy ending, and "very late night" taste test, make this movie a richer, tastier, European experience.
