Review of Mostly Martha (2001) by Lei P — 04 Nov 2007
This movie is charmingly sweet. The characters are well developed and I loved the transition of the obsessive perfectionist chef into a complete human being not afraid to live and make mistakes--fall in love, be nurturing and allow room for imperfection.
This original has personality. The Catherine Zeta Jones version is not good at all and everything lovable in this film about the human connections and individual self journey doesn't translate over in the American version.
