Review of Most Wanted (1997) by Movie K — 09 Dec 2015

Wanted to watch this movie for a long time and finally get the chance. Quite good action thriller. Keenen Ivory Wayans is a Marine specialist sniper during Gulf War. He refuse to kill a 10 year old target and accidentally kill his CO when he point a gun at him.

He is given death sentence. After 5 years, during a transfer he is been rescued by a black ops team led by Jon Voight. Keenen is force to join the team. The mission is to kill Robert Culp who will attend a event with the First Lady.

Just when Keenen is ready to execute, another sniper shot dead First Lady. Everyone look at his direction. A doctor Jill Hennessy film the other rooftop and she kept the tape, handing over another tape to the security agent.

Keenen escape to safe house but snipers shot in. The police swarm in and he manage to escape. Keenen goes to the hospital and follow Jill. Her home is rigged with microwave explosion and they escape in time.

They escape to a close down Marine base. She is target to be kill as she hold the tape evidence. Jon took over the ops from the police and he is actually a General. Keenen break open the emergency code and phone to Paul Sorvino, deputy director of CIA.

He does not know what Keenen is talking about and he investigate. Keenen call a reporter and hand the tape to him but Jon intercept and do some effects on the tape to make Keenen the killer. Jon is working with Robert who is the head of a pharmacy that develop vaccine for soldiers against viral warfare.

The ops is to kill First Lady and make Keenen the fall guy. Keenen and Jill investigate more on the cause First Lady is fighting for and they found a vaccine for soldiers gone wrong article. First Lady has found out and going to expose and off course Robert doesn't want it out.

Keenen daringly infiltrate the command post and took the laptop. He know where Jon keep the key and escape. He call Paul and want safety for Jill. When he is going to send out the evidence, the cops caught him.

Eric Roberts, the assistant to Paul was already found out by him that he works with Jon. Paul arrange to meet Jon to handover Keenen and the laptop to exchange the 5 million reward. At the meeting, Paul tell Jon he should cover up his own track and blame it all on Robert as the mastermind and become a hero.

He get his sniper to shoot him dead. Jon shot dead his deputy whom he thought is Keenen. Then he appear and shot Jon dead. The news cover up to make Jon a hero and expose Robert. Keenen is proclaim sentence to death but is in fact a free man with CIA endorse.
