Review of Mosquito Squadron (1969) by Tracey C — 18 Aug 2010
It is about a fictional Second World War 'bouncing bomb' raid by Royal Air Force de Havilland Mosquito fighter-bomber aircraft on a chateau in France. The target is an underground tunnel in the grounds of the chateau where flying bombs are being constructed.
David McCallum stars as Squadron Leader Quint Munroe and as well as leading the mission he comforts the wife of his friend who is missing in action. To add to the dramatic tension Munroe and his men learn that allied prisoners are also held in the chateau.
