Review of Moscow on the Hudson (1984) by Elisa R — 26 Jan 2007
I saw the first time this film when the iron curtain was always firmly in place and naturally it was intrigant and funny. On a visit with Bloomingdales, it suddenly decides to desert. However, it is not entirely without merit.
Note the manner that he says "Mister". The central lesson of film is that the transition from a Communist to a mentality of capitalist is not easy and the adjustment can bring large the joy and pain.
