Review of Mortuary (2005) by Kevin R — 11 Jan 2015
A young Bill Paxton is pretty much the only real reason to visit this mediocre horror film. He captures the essence of creepy mortuary director perfectly. The film tries to stretch the budget as far as possible by making most of the film a mystery and only truly delivering near the end for the climax. It has some essence of an Italian giallo film in regards to the story but fails to give us all the stuff we generally love from the giallos like the beautiful red blood in stark contrasts.
Worth checking out for horror fanatics but most people can stay away and not lose a moment of sleep about it.
