Review of Mortal Kombat: Annihilation (1997) by Liam R — 20 Mar 2008
This movie teeters on the line of being so bad it's good. Unfortunately, the first movie was so brilliant in its mediocrity and grin-inducing good time, that this sequel is hardly watchable. It takes itself too seriously, but is full of cringingly shoddy special effects and painfully bad acting, with nary a fight scene interesting enough to make you forgive it's numerous short-comings.
The reason it even comes close to being entertaining is because it's a great film to watch in order to learn how not to make a video game movie.
