Ugh, this movie is such a sad follow up to the first Mortal Kombat. It has a good premise but horrible execution. The action sequences are pretty poor and backed by absolutely horrible special effects.

The wardrobe quality drastically decreased. A lot of the bad guys ended up looking like loser Power Ranger extras, including Sub-Zero and Scorpion. The casting left something to be desired. It was nice to see Robin Shou and Talisa Soto return, but I felt the film was seriously hampered by the loss of Christopher Lamber as Raiden.

Other than than Lynn Williams, who portrayed Jax, I felt the casting was really poor and the actors didn't have a lot to offer to their roles. Plus, they killed off a lot of characters too easily, not giving any pay off to their inclusion in the film.

This included Rain and Sheeva. Overall, very sad.
