Review of Mortal Kombat: Annihilation (1997) by Andrew Z — 21 Jul 2011

This film seems like it was made on a lower budget than its predecessor. The sets just feel like sets rather than actual places, and they look very bland and uninspired as do the special effects. The plot of this film takes a back seat in favor of mindless fight scenes and overabundant cameos by Mortal Kombat characters.

It almost feels like a home movie made by a kid who wanted to include every action figure he owns. Characters just awkwardly pop in only to be killed. Overall, this was a fairly forgettable film.
