Review of Mortal Kombat: Annihilation (1997) by Xpocalypse S — 16 Apr 2013
The GOOD: Fight scenes weren't terrible. For a video game movie, I thought the costuming was pretty good. Sonya Blade added some Tomb Raider style visuals, if you go for that sort of thing. The BAD: Acting, plot, dialog.
Sometimes bad acting in the right context is good. This wasn't one of those cases. It was just embarrassing. The UGLY: The music was horrendous. The special effects seemed really bad, even for 1997.
The dragon-thingy fight at the end, for example, looked like the original Clash of the Titans.
