Review of Mortal Kombat: Annihilation (1997) by Adam J — 17 Nov 2008

This is a huge dissappointment. The first Mortal Kombat was excellent. This movie only had 3 good things: Robin Shou, Talisa Soto, and Lyn "Red" Williams. Liu Kang(Shou) was great, Kitana(Soto) was a little bit cheesey, and JAx(Williams) was the perfect addition.

I didnt understand why they had 3 Chameleons, 2 Ermacs, another Sub Zero, there were alot of Barackaswhen there is onl1 1. Another thing was Shao Kahn. He was miserable. Not once was I intimidated. He had no muscles what so ever when the video game character was huge.

Shinnock wasnt blue and all Sheeva did was hiss and jump. The absolute worst part of this entire peice of garbage was Raiden. James Remar is a terrible actor. So they got him to play the the god of thunder.

He underacted his lines and didnt even have a raspy voice. This movie set the bar for video game movies, which is obviously very low. All video game movies after this were terrible. I only hope that Mortal Kombat Devastation will be better than this.
