This is probably the best video game adaptation of all time, and that's not exactly something to be proud of. This particular genre has always been problematic in the past, with loads and loads of misses instead of hits.
However, by being relatively faithful to the video game series, along with its trademark ultra violence, Mortal Kombat has managed to break through that curse.
