Review of Mortal Kombat (1995) by Curren W — 14 Aug 2010
You can tell these filmmakers are trying to give us a good video game movie, but in the end, Mortal Kombat is a cheesy mess of crappy writing, performances that alternate between stale and over-the-top, cheap looking sets, costumes, and CG effects, and typical kung-fu brawls constantly using strings and soft jabs.
The first few times I saw this film, I shut my mind off. This time around, I decided to keep my brain.
