Review of Morning Glory (2010) by Tim C — 25 Jan 2012
The cast is very likable, and there's a lot of funny moments in this movie. The world of news is also a fresh setting--we don't see it in film too often. However, the movie gets a bit muddled around its latter half.
I ultimately wasn't satisfied with how the relationships developed. Characters seem to simply become happy or sad just because the formula deems it's time to become happy or sad. Furthermore, since the film straddles both a romantic interest for McAdams as well as the main story of Ford and the news team, neither side--and nether relationship--gets adequate screentime.
