Review of Morgan (2016) by Rogen J — 25 Aug 2016
I saw this at an advanced screening. Kind of hard to describe this movie without giving too much away. Not really a thriller or a horror movie, but has moments from both genres. Also a touch of sci-fi with a definite reminder of Ex Machina.
A lab in the middle of no where is working on genetic engineering for profit. They send in one of their workers to see if the project is going well and report back to corporate for them to decide what to do.
Not really much to this. Things go bad as expected and someone has to clean it up. Solid performances all around, no one really stood out. I could sadly see the twist coming a mile away, but the movie was still enjoyable at about 90 minutes so just the perfect length.
Not terrible, but nothing spectacular. Just a solid fun movie. I would be interested in a sequel as it does set that up.
