Review of Morgan (2016) by Jordan E — 25 Aug 2017
Morgan is cerebral and intelligent for most of the film. When the intellectual theme turns to action it is very well executed and believable. This was a beautiful looking film with creative shots and a dark atmosphere.
The woods sequences were particularly well shot and nice to look at. The acting was solid for the most part aside from the disposable lab hand parts that seemed generic and phoned in. Anya Taylor-Joy fantastic and held this film together.
The characters that were interesting unfortunately we're not fleshed out enough to care about. This film focused on fleshing out Morgan and Morgan alone. I would recommend this film for a movie night with friends and it is definitely worth hitting up a red box for.
I would watch it again.
