Review of More than a Game (2008) by Chris B — 23 Feb 2010
As a Cleveland Cavs fan and LeBron follower from his junior year on, I found this documentary to be interesting on how the team and players progressed from their pre-teen years on. I was however, somewhat disappointed that the rest of the team was nearly completely dismissed as unnecessary.
SVSM was no different than most other prep school in the nation: African-American kids avoid the perils of inner-city life by taking their talents to the basketball court from youngsters to teenagers.
It's not new; this is just an example of a team that LeBron James was part of. The impressive part about this is that the four men the film revolved around have turned into gentlemen. They all stay close and have been successful after high school.
I rate More Than A Game 6.5/10.
