Review of Morbius (2022) by Kessl — 30 May 2022
“It’s morbin’ time!” single-handedly one day of the greatest lines in any film ever created, out of context it may seem like a simple catchphrase, but in its full context it gains a much deeper meaning, it shows emotion, pain, hope, a sense of longing for love. The main character (Micheal Morbius) is in a place of distress, he has been struck down time and time again, he is in pain, his love has been taken away from him, and in this moment of desperation, he says, “it’s morbin’ time” the line signifies a release of emotion, Michael Morbius no longer feels required to hide his true emotions, he is letting them out regardless of the consequences, the pain, suffering, and trauma carried by his character is released, leaving him with only hope.
