Review of Moonwalker (1988) by Rachel P — 05 Aug 2008
Watching this I can understand why Jackson freaks people out, the guy has no PR skills whatsoever. But the dance sequences and vocals are as expected, excellent. There are much better ways to see Michael Jacksons talent, MTV perhaps.
..oh yeah, the nineties ended eight years ago..sigh, it was good while it lasted. My advice is to enter this with lowered expections, There is of course the amazing 'Smooth Criminal' dance sequence, an amazing Live beatles cover 'Come Together' and some groundbreaking effects, but most of the film is an incomprehensible, self indulgent and sometimes disturbing mess.
Get a greatest hits DVD instead and enjoy some groundbreaking music and video's.
