Moonrise Kingdom is amazing fun. Few films in 2012 were as pleasurable and as fun to watch as this one, and it was very underrated when it came to awards ceremonies. The ensemble cast were all at their very best for Moonrise Kingdom, with Murray, Norton, McDormand, Willis and Swinton all putting in passionate and effective performances.
However, the kids steal the show. Jared Gilman and Kara Hayward are two names to look out for in future years, based on their performances in this movie. They have great chemistry, beautiful acting skills and an evident passion for what they're doing.
