One of the sweetest and most memorable films of 2012, "Moonrise Kingdom" is a future classic. Wes Anderson creates an atmosphere, perfectly accentuated by the score and art direction, that reflects its characters: quirky, innocent, fun, and heart-warming.
"Moonrise Kingdom" tells the story of an orphan who escapes from his camp to be with the trouble-making girl who he loves that escapes from her unappreciative family as well. Fate serves as this story's main antagonist creating conflicts between the characters who are trying their best to cope with their lives.
"Moonrise Kingdom" is a true work of art that is as visually invigorating as it is emotionally captivating.
