Review of Moonrise Kingdom (2012) by Mario M — 08 Feb 2015
Wes Anderson writes and directs Moonrise Kingdom which opens up with a little Khaki scout running away from his troupe. He has done so to meet with a girl he has fallen for and the two are soon pursued for by other scouts and authorities on the small island.
Moonrise Kingdom isn't so much about the plot, but its a film about rebelling, adolescence and early romance. It is somewhat hard to describe why I liked this movie, but the main kid Sam was great and you really felt for him and the issues he had being an orphan and trying to make a world for himself.
