Review of Moonraker (1979) by James O — 26 May 2011
This is basically Eon Production's answer to cash in on the Star Wars hype of 1979-83. I wouldn't say it's the worst bond (there's way worse than this one) but its definitely the silliest.
Pros.
+ The action sequences are top notch and close between.
+ Shirley Bassey sings again!
Cons.
- Jaws falls in love and turns into a good guy [too cartoony - I wanted jaws to get those teeth electrocuted like what happened to Oddjob]. very disapointing.
- The Literary Bond was never sent into space, because it was considered too elaborate, and it kind of sort of is.
