Review of Moonraker (1979) by Leonardo - Malacay - S — 16 Mar 2009
An obvious cash-in on the success of Star Wars. Strangely, some of the locations seem to be there just for the sake of visuals instead of plot; the scenes in Rio could have been skipped entirely. Once Bond goes into orbit, the movie takes a complete nosedive, with bad special effects, terrible looking "zero gravity" acting, and a laser battle in space (WTF?).
It's not all bad, though: Jaws is fun to watch, and Drax as the arrogant villain is pretty entertaining.
