Review of Moonraker (1979) by Veeruska K — 07 Aug 2010
Sometimes you just gotta go big or go home. Its interesting to note that "Moonraker" had the same director and writer as the previous Bond film "The Spy Who Loved Me" because in many ways this one its just a rehashing of the former.
They both follow a very similair plot; evil, wealthy genious plans to kill just about everyone on Earth to establish a new world order, Bond has to work with a tough female agent from another country who doesn't trust him till they fuck a few times, and oh yes and the very awesome Jaws (I wonder if he has a resume that all the meglomaniacs of the world just pass around).
I shouldn't be too hard on this movie, its got camp coming out of its ears with a sizable budget behind it. Its very rare that the two mesh well.
