Review of Moonlight Mile (2002) by Melanie C — 31 Dec 2006
Black humor has never had a more ingenious face. Sarandon and Hoffman and even Gyllenhaal grieve and grow in a real way that is seen so rarely in modern movies. Do away with perfection, put a spotlight on flaws.
The screenplay is biting and the acting is so alive. *Susan Sarandon takes my best actress award of 2002, and the movie receives my award for Best Picture. A masterful piece of filmmaking!!
