I guess this was supposed to be a touching story about two men in love and all the travails they suffered along the way. Tired of seeing black people portrayed as drug users, prostitutes, and messed up human beings.
Tired of the user of the N word, and aunt jemima languag.e. Hollywood, if you want to make a movie like this, make one with more dignity. Yes the characters were memorable, but not more memorable than many other movies.
Hard to believe this won an Oscar for best picture.
