Review of Moonlight (2016) by Adam R — 28 Mar 2017
There is too much praise over a movie that isn't bad, but is also not great. The story is fairly bland and it doesn't have nearly as much depth as it thinks it does. I did feel that the cinematography was excellent, and it was a well-made movie from a technical standpoint.
There is no way this should have truly won the Academy Award for Best Picture though. (First and only viewing - 3/29/2017).
