Review of Moonlight (2016) by Jesse G — 27 Mar 2018
Moonlight is a modern masterpiece. The story may seem simple and familiar, but it is told in an extremely powerful way, addressing themes like masculinity, identity, love, race, class, and parenting, all told in a visceral way that makes the setting come to life through the eyes of the highly relatable outsider.
I have no complaints about this film as I still can't get it out of my head. There is and has never been anything like Moonlight.
