Review of Moonlight (2016) by Rocknroll C — 02 Mar 2017
If you're looking for a painfully boring experience with not one drop of joy or inspiration about anything memorable to take away - this one's for you. I would daresay 5 or 10 years after it won the Oscar for best picture, not many will want to see it (or remember it).
To add salt into the wound, there was one last thing that really wanted to make me slap the director: Speaking as a food industry pro, I guess it was only a fitting piece of ridiculousness was when the cook in the diner was also (wait for it).... the waiter! And the cashier! I have my theories on how & why this movie got made (and won any awards at all).
