Review of Moonlight (2016) by Mr Movie R — 17 Feb 2017
A beautiful movie - I loved how repressed the characters were. It made the script so realistic - the actors and the emotions were so held back for the whole movie until the finale.
The two main characters only ever revealed anything about themselves when they talked, and this movie actually doesn't have that much talking - their scenes are the most poignant because it feels like they learn the most about each other at the same time the audience is learning, so we're all learning together about what it is and what it feels like to be them.
So many moments made me cry, this was a beautiful movie.
