'Moonlight' touches on many subjects, most of all identitiy and self-discovery, in an intimate and authentic way that is far from rhetoric. Anchored by outstanding performances from every memeber of the cast, a lovely cinematography and color palette, great camera-work, and a subtle yet effective direction, this is the riveting sophomore effort by Barry Jenkins.
The heart- breaking and emotional power of the movie is reinforced by the magnificent soundtrack.
