Review of Moonlight (2016) by Lee D — 27 Feb 2017
A coming of age story which tells the story of a young homosexual boy going through three tough stages in his life. The progression from a bullied and abused adolescent who was looked down upon by society and his own parents, turns into a secluded, strong man who shares a strong bond with his friend.
Moonlight is an impressively constructed and written film which explores the themes of homosexuality in African-American culture, and is worthy to receive "Best Picture" at the Academy Awards.
