Interesting film. Pretty much a story spanning across a person's life. In this person's life they struggled with bullies as a kid and other circumstances. It shaped who the person became apparently.

Not entirely a thought provoking film. Not really a feel good film either. Simply a perspective film of a human being. Sheds light on people in life that potentially relate to them.

Regardless in life the one golden rule that sort of matters is this. Usually everyone in life is undergoing some battle that is none of anybody's business. If they make it somebodys business then that's on them and a whole other can of worms. However put simply again, life isn't a breeze unless you have a billion dollars. Even then, it isn't breezy as people desire your billion dollars. Human beings are at the top of the food chain. We have evolved as our own prey and demise. With that stated humans always find bullshit ways to cause conflict. In respect to this film, it is simply the still prevalent racial and perhaps other identity conflicts in society.

It is just very hard but possible to move past prejudices in society. Unfortunately sometimes media can be used in a bad way of hammering the point continually, but yet is good. The Oscars snafu was staged and there's more than meets the eye there. It's a tv show with a ton of actors... Regardless at least they are using their platform to bring attention to a film that isn't really that bad to watch. Has a significant purpose as a film, and at minimum provides insight into a perspective of some human beings.
