Review of Moonlight (2016) by Justin W — 26 Jul 2017
A movie that panders to the mainstream audience by dealing with the predictable issues of sexuality, poverty, and race. Nothing in this film is remotely revolutionary in any sense of the word. Instead of weaving a subtle, yet genius story-line with several great opportunities for stunning plot-twists, the movie tells a generic story about a homosexual African American man that feels tailored to this generation of viewers.
