Review of Moon (2009) by Jeffrey G — 13 Aug 2012
For all the good press this film is getting, I was thoroughly unimpressed. There's nothing particularly BAD about the film..but then, there's nothing particularly GOOD about it either. It's a certainly passable genre entry--and it IS a pleasure to see a film that attempts to be literate and thoughtful as opposed to loud and obnoxious.
I didn't particularly buy Rockwell's performance, and there are rather obvious flaws in the script which I can't really discuss without spoilers. If this film intrigued you, may I suggest Tarkovsky's Solaris.
Might as well watch Soderberg's remake, too.
